Margaret Inga Urias

Margaret Inga Urías is an interdisciplinary artist who illustrates and adapts highly detailed renderings in ink to site specific murals and installations. Drawn to lost histories, concealed origins, and imperceptible connections, Urías creates compositions that simultaneously entangle the past, present, and future. Her works function as trace narratives, following the story of small, coincidental, forgotten, and intangible elements over vast stretches of time. Urías is the recipient of the Chenven Foundation Grant and the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, amongst a handful of other prestigious awards. She has been commissioned for permanent, large-scale public art projects and has has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout New York.
